Why Quick-Fix Manifestation Hacks Are Missing the Point: The Truth About Real Manifestation

Scrolling TikTok the other day (hey- don’t judge me) I noticed a little trend going on of “testing the universe”. It seems if you want to see if manifestation is real, all you have to do is write what you want on a piece of paper, say it aloud for 30 seconds, jump up and down, pat your head, spin three times… okay, I exaggerate but it really was like “Write it down, do these other steps, and within 24 hours you will have X”.
If this works for them, great, but for me, it just doesn't feel right and here’s why:
See, the magic of manifesting comes from the act, not the result.
First of all, if you could manifest anything you wanted and have it show up within 24 hours, life would kinda suck after a while. There are only so many things you want, and just acquiring things doesn’t bring lasting happiness.
Don’t believe me? Think about the last time you really wanted something. Maybe it was a new car. Maybe it was a goal of completing a marathon. Whatever that thing was, once you got it / achieved it, the happiness faded.
Sure you were happy and proud for a while; of course. But then that faded and you were like, “okay, sooooo….;, now what do I want?”.
See, the happiness and fulfillment comes from the pursuit of the goal, not the actual goal itself.
Jim Rohn famously stated, "The purpose is stronger than the object."
